A/Prof Shamira Perera
President
Biography
A/Prof Shamira Perera is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Glaucoma Service at SNEC with an interest in novel surgeries and imaging. At SERI he is the Head of Cataract surgery research and works closely with Business Development team to commercialize devices in glaucoma and cataract. As deputy director of the Med Tech office for SingHealth he has disbursed >S$7M for innovation. On the clinical side, he is the Clinical Director for Complex Anterior Segment Surgery in SNEC (CASSIS)
A/Prof Victor Koh
Vice President
A/Prof Victor Koh currently heads the Department of Ophthalmology at National University Hospital (NUH) and National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is also an Associate Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. In addition, he has been appointed as pro tem Chief Executive Officer for the new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) and Chairperson of the Hospital Planning Committee for TGCH.
Dr Marcus Tan CJ

Dr Marcus Tan Chun Jin is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital, and Assistant Group Chief Technology Officer of the National University Health System. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at NUHS, obtaining his MMed (Ophthalmology) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK). He also holds an Adjunct Assistant Professorship at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. His research interests lie in novel glaucoma drainage devices, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and digital health; with multiple grants awarded.
Dr Rongxuan Lim

Dr Lim Rongxuan is a Senior Consultant at Woodlands Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Oxford University on multiple academic scholarships, including an Oxford-NIH attachment with the eye department at the National Institutes of Health.She undertook ophthalmology specialist training in London at St Thomas’ Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) in 2014. She subsequently completed glaucoma fellowship training at both institutions before returning to Singapore.
Dr Zhu Li Yap

Dr Yap Zhu Li is a Senior Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). She obstained her MMed (Ophthalmology) in 2015 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) in 2017. Following her glaucoma fellowship at SNEC, she was awarded the HMDP scholarship to complete a second fellowship in Advanced Glaucoma and Complex Anterior Segment Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme and a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
Dr Rahat Husain

Biography
Clinical Associate Professor Rahat Husain qualified from University College London medical school and did his ophthalmology training in the south of England. He is currently a senior consultant in the glaucoma service at Singapore National Eye Centre and is also Director if Regional/Community Eyecare System at SingHealth
